The Project has two main target groups:

  • current front-line leaders who lack formal leadership training
  • leaders in divers VET contexts managing multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams

Trainers and educators:

  • trainers and educators responsible for delivering leadership development programs and
  • trainers and educators mentoring front line leaders

MARKET NEEDS ADDRESSED

Front-line leaders are the corner-stone of operational success in the VET sector. They are responsible for implementing strategic directives, managing teams and ensuring high-quality educational delivery. However, a significant proportion of these managers are promoted into leadership roles without the requisite training – lacking most importantly managerial and leadership skills – which leads to inefficiencies, reduced employee morale and suboptimal learner outcomes.

“Research indicates that 82% of managers in Europe are ‘accidental managers’ –  meaning they lack formal leadership development, which negatively affects organisational performance.” (Chartered Management Institute, 2024)
